Encouraging a Conversation for the Development of Doctor of Ministry Concentration Standards

Abstract

This paper explores current practices in select theological schools regarding Doctor of Ministry concentrations and specializations, explore the semantics of each, and propose for consideration and dialogue the development of recommendations as to what might constitute a concentration, taking into consideration existing accreditation standards, the needs of learners and academy.
