Seminary Professors and Leader-shaping Task

Abstract


An examination of the role of seminary education in the shaping of ministry leaders at the start of the twenty-first century, in light of criticism against seminaries regarding their lack of relevance for the practice of ministry. Author’s leadership definition and selected perspectives regarding the leader-becoming process are examined, along with their implications for the relationship between faculty members and students. Useful approaches for faculty to utilize in supporting the leader-shaping process are also explored.
